PATIENT RIGHTS

It is the rights that arise between the patient and the healthcare professionals on an individual and social level, the healthcare professionals have duties and responsibilities towards the patient and the healthcare professionals, and the patients and healthcare professionals must claim together for a better healthcare environment.

In this case, it becomes necessary to perform health services within the framework of the principle of equality. This can be evaluated in the context of human rights. First of all, the right is the authority given by the legal order to individuals. There is also a universal concept of human rights.
Human rights were first recognized in England in 1215. Officially, the American Declaration of Rights and the 1789 Universal Declaration of French Human and Citizen Rights were published at the end of the 18th century. Human rights have become universal with the establishment of the United Nations. The Universal Declaration of Human Rights has been published. According to this; it is stated that everyone is free, dignified and equal in terms of their rights.


Patient rights: The individuals who need to benefit from health services are owned by T.C. Its constitution refers to its rights, which are guaranteed by international treaties, laws and other legislation.

 PATIENT RIGHTS PRINCIPLES

a)It is always considered in every stage of the service that the right to live the body in a state of spiritual and social well-being is the most fundamental human right.

b) The patient is treated humanely, knowing that everyone has the right to life and protect and develop her material and spiritual existence, and that no authority or anyone has the right to eliminate this right

c) In the provision of health care, the race, language, religion and sect, gender, political thought, philosophical belief, economic and social status and other differences of the patients cannot be taken into consideration. Health services are planned and arranged so that everyone can easily access them.

d) Except for medical obligations and cases written in the law, one’s body integrity and other personality rights cannot be touched without her consent.

e) The person cannot be subject to medical research without her consent and permission from the Ministry.

f) The privacy of the patient’s private life and family life cannot be touched, except in cases permitted by law and medical obligations.
