Endoscopy is the examination of the inner parts of the upper digestive system organs with a special tool called gastroscope. It is a special tool with a camera that records the light and image at the tip of the special tool and has a working channel inside. Thanks to the gastroscope, the working channel, taking parts from the diseases of this region, stopping the blood and endoscopic surgery are performed.
Which Diseases Are Used In The Treatment And Diagnosis Of Diseases?
For the purpose of diagnosis:

WHAT PATIENTS TO DO WITH ENDOSCOPY
Our patients should not eat and drink water for at least 6-8 hours before the procedure. Patients must inform their doctor before the procedure. Patients undergoing serious endoscopic intervention should inform their doctor about blood thinning medications. Gastroscopy is performed in patients with closed gastric outlet and serious bleeding before washing the stomach.
HOW IS ENDOSCOPY MADE?
Before the procedure, patients are given detailed information about the risks and complications. Approval is obtained from patients and relatives to start the procedure. The patient, whose vascular access is open before the procedure, can be done comfortably and that vomiting and secretions do not escape into the airway, and drugs that make the patient so-called sedation sleep during the procedure and do not remember the procedure after the procedure are administered intravenously. During the procedure, continuous measurement of blood oxygen level is made from the fingertip of the patient, and when necessary, the patient is supplemented with oxygen. If there are movable, removable implants in the mouths of the patients to be treated, they are removed and the procedure is started in this way. In oral procedures, the endoscope is advanced through the mouthpiece placed in the mouth and the process is started. At the end of the procedure, medications may be given to the patient to sleep if necessary.
